Tibetan cattle (Bos taurus)

Tibetan cattle is academically named as Bos Taurus,which is a kind of ruminant mammals in boselaphus. It has short and well-developed body, strong bone, tight muscle and mixed colored hair. It mainly originates in 2300-3800m area above sea level, mainly distributed in Lhasa Chengguan District, Duilong and other counties, as well as Sichuan Province Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. As an animal living in plateau environment for a long time, it has the characteristics of adapting to high cold, extreme heat, low oxygen, etc.It can be fattened and strong only by grazing. It has strong disease resistance and special resistance to some diseases, which provides scientists with more meaningful animal models.
