Data download
Introduction
The data deposited in CNGBdb ( CNGB sequence archive (CNSA) and STOmicsDB.) can be accessed through two methods based on the setting of data submitter:
- Public data: Licensed under CC-BY-4.0, which allows anyone to freely download and utilize.
- Controlled data: An application is required for access. More details can be found here.
How to Download Data from CNGBdb
Data Search
Examples: CNP0005374; Momordica charantia; BGISEQ-500.
Search the data of interest using keywords such as the CNSA project accession number (e.g., CNP0005374) to locate datasets.
After navigating to the relevant page, you can click the Go to FTP
button to access the FTP directory, or select individual file buttons to initiate direct downloads.
Single File Download
Download a single file through one of the following methods:
- High-Speed Download with Aspera:
- Install the Aspera pluginto enable accelerated transfer speeds
- Command-Line Interface (CLI):
- Copy the provided download command and execute it in your terminal for CLI-based downloading
- Direct HTTPS Download:
- Click the file link to download via standard HTTPS
Batch Download
To download the entire project:
- Navigate to the project page on the download site
- Copy Download Commands: Click the
Copy download command
button to obtain Aspera or FTP download scripts - Terminal Execution: Paste the command into a CLI tool (e.g., terminal) and run it to initiate bulk downloads
