The human gut microbiota refers to the all the microorganism that inhabit the human gastrointestinal tract. Diverse roles of the gut microbiota in human health and disease have been reorgnized. Metagenomic studies have transformed our understanding of the taxonomic and functional diversity of human microbiota, such as contributing to maturation of the immune system and providing a direct barrier against colonization by pathogens. This data set including a series of studies about human gut microbiota. these data will further our understanding of the functional roles bacteria play in the maintenance of health and well-being in humans. It will open new perspectives for the monitoring and design of strategies for modulating the microbiota for health.
