As eusocial insects, ants live in dense groups. The breeding function in the group is completed by one or several queens, and all the maintenance required by the group is completed by non-productive worker ants and other ants. These completely different morphology and behavior come from the same genome. Epigenetics plays an important role in this process. This dataset includes genome research of the leaf-cutting ant Acromyrmex echinatior, transcriptome studies of Camponotus floridanus and Harpegnathos saltator, and comparative analysis of DNA methylation in different ant caste, etc.
