Project name: Paramecium tetraurelia strain d4-2

Description: The genome of Paramecium tetraurelia, strain d4-2, has been sequenced by members of the Paramecium Genomics Consortium. There are an estimated 350 macronuclear chromosomes that make up approximately 100 Mb in the genome. This project undertook a whole genome shotgun sequencing strategy to complete a 13X coverage of the macronuclear genome.
