Description: We isolated from sewage sludge previously treated in a Wastewater Treatment Plant a bacterial strain capable of degrading high concentrations of acetaminophen (a.k.a paracetamol) in solution. It is the first time that a member of this species is characterized as acetaminophen degrader, posing it as a promising candidate for polluted sludge bioremediation.
