Project name: Hordeum vulgare
Description: Plant growth and productivity are significantly impacted by drought and heat stress. Plants exhibit reduced growth as a result of drought or heat stress, which reduces yields. These two stresses occurring simultaneously worsen their effects. Breeding crops that are able to withstand changing climates depends on unraveling the molecular changes brought on by multiple abiotic stresses. In this study, barley genotypes exposed to heat, drought, and combined heat and drought stress for five days during heading stage were compared with genotypes that were more sensitive to stress (Otis).
