Project name: Staphylococcus saprophyticus strain:PSB03
Description: The organism was isolated from the rhizospheric zone of banana grown in field located from Anand, Gujarat, India, and identified as Gram-positive, cocci, and non-motile. The isolate solubilizes both inorganic and insoluble organic phosphate and has various PGPR characteristics. This identified organism showed biocompatibility with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and significantly improved the growth of the banana plant. The long-term goal is to prepare bio-inoculum or component of biofertilizer to limit the use of chemical fertilizers with increasing the growth, development, and yield of the plant.
