Project name: Lactiplantibacillus plantarum strain:WUH3
Description: The full-length genome of Lactobacillus plantarum WUH3 is 3 401 187 bp, and the GC content is 43.30%. The genome characteristics show that it has high carbohydrate metabolism and strong bacteriostatic and tolerance activities. The virulence factors are mainly adhesion and resistance to the host immune defense system , is a non-pathogenic attenuated virulence strain. Four proteins 100% identical to class II bacteriocins (Plantaricin E, Plantaricin F, Pediocin PA-1 (Pediocin AcH), and Coagulin A) were identified by whole-genome sequencing analysis. Lactobacillus plantarum does not adhere to host cells and has a mode of antibacterial action. Lactobacillus plantarum WUH3 proved to be a promising biopreservative strain because, in addition to being safe, it produces a stable bacteriocin that inhibits pathogens such as Listeria monocytogenes
