Project name: Acyrthosiphon pisum
Description: The pea aphid Acyrthosiphon pisum exhibits two types of embryogenesis: a sexual embryogenesis giving rise to future sexual oviparae females, and a parthenogenetic viviparous embryogenesis giving rise to future clonal viviparous females. The orientation to one or the other type of embryogenesis is driven and triggered by the external photoperiod: a short photoperiod allows sexual embryogenesis whereas a long photoperiod allows a parthenogenetic embryogenesis. Here, two RNA-Seq samples were prepared to follow the late steps of embryogenesis of the sexual embryogenesis.
