Project name: Pantoea agglomerans strain:DBM 3797
Description: Pantoea agglomerans (syn. Enterobacter agglomerans, Erwinia herbicola) is facultatively anaerobic, heterofermentative, Gram-negative bacterium. While it is frequently isolated from clinical material, it is also known as a plant epiphyte. Here, we present the first complete genome of the strain isolated from hop (Humulus lupulus), which is capable of auxin (indole-3-acetic acid) production. The strain is deposited in the culture collection of the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology (DBM) of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague under the accession number DBM 3797.
