Project name: Influenza A virus isolate:CA07
Description: This study seeks to characterize viral populations and bottlenecks during in vivo infections in animal models. We used 10-nt barcodes embedded into influenza A viruses (IAV) to demonstrate infection dynamics of these viruses in mice and ferrets, quantifying population composition at previously unattainable resolution, and determining the nature of bottlenecks during infection. This BioProject contains data regarding our initial barcoded-IAV, which resulted in highly skewed populations where individual lineages rapidly dominated the population.
