Project name: Hordeum bulbosum

Description: Hordeum bulbosum is a wild barley that has two roles in barley breeding. One is production of double-haploid plants by chromosome elimination. The second is as a source of genes for barley improvement by introgressive breeding. The linkage map was developed to assist introgression with minimal linkage drag as well as to study the homoeology between H. bulbosum and other Triticeae species.
