Description: Cell types were collected by laser capture microdissection from the nodule development zone of Medicago truncatula (A17) roots during the first 72 hours of interaction with the symbiont Sinorhizobium medicae. Replicate samples were collected from the epidermis, outer cortex, inner cortex at xylem poles, inner cortex between xylem poles, vasculature, and emerging nodules.
