Project name: Expression data from tomato fruits silencing gene Asr1
Description: ASR1 is a transcription factor widely present in plants that is involved in stress responses. In this work, we have silenced ASR1 in tomato fruits using an anti-sense construct and analysed the gene expression in two independent transgenic lines (AS5 and AS17) and in wild-type (WT) fruits.Overall design: Asr1 was silenced in tomato plants by using an anti-sense construct. Plants were grown in controlled greenhouse conditions (80% relative humidity; 200 mmol PAR s-1m-2; 16 hours of light and 8 hours of darkness). Mature tomato fruits (red ripe stage) from wild-type (WT) and two AS lines (AS5 and AS17) were used for the microarray analyses. Pools of two mature tomato fruit mesocarps from three different plants per line were analysed.
