Description: We report the complete and annotated genome sequence of a potato endophytic Gram-positive bacterium, Leifsonia sp. PS1209. In 2019, researchers isolated a Gram-positive endophyte from apparently health tubers of potato cultivar NY166, originating from the potato breeding program at Cornell University. This endophyte persisted in bud tissues following surface sterilization and was isolated at room temperature after 2-3 days incubation.
