Description: Bombus impatiens is the #2 pollinator in the United States. The genome was sequenced by the Biotechnology Center, University of Illinois (BCUI), using genomic DNA from haploid males. The assembly was done by the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at University of Maryland.Bacterial sequences excluded from the BEE assembly AEQM00000000 were assembled into the Candidatus Schmidhempelia bombi str. Bimp genome in BioProject PRJNA216921 with WGS accession AWGA00000000 assembly GCA_000471645.
