Description: This project aims to investigate the role of wild birds from Alaska in the global epidemiology of influenza A virus. Surveillance of live ducks, gulls and shorebirds has been performed since 2005 with the goal of generating whole genome sequences of influenza A virus, both high and low pathogenic strains.
