Project name: Glossina pallidipes breed:wild-type
Description: Glossina pallidipes is one of the most important biological vectors for African animal trypanosomiasis in sub-Saharan Africa. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been implicated in regulating several biological processes such as development, embryogenesis, metamorphosis, and vector competence in insect species. However, their occurrence and function in this important vector is still scarcely understood. This project sort to identify and characterize miRNAs transcripts, and their roles in different developmental stages of Glossina pallidipes.
