Project name: Hordeum vulgare
Description: In recent years, research on barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) has focused on breeding, quality analysis, agronomic traits, but there are few studies on grain traits, especially shrunken endosperm trait. In this project, we selected Bowman and sex1 seeds from different flowering stages for transcriptome analysis (RNA-seq), combined with bioinformatics techniques to mine lncRNAs and mRNAs that associated with shrunken endosperm. Through the corresponding gene annotation to understand the metabolic pathways that cause shrunken endosperm, and proposed the molecular mechanism of sex1 regulation of shrunken endosperm.
