Description: The aim of the study was to delete a gene known to be associated with sporulation in C. botulinum ATCC 19397. The original wil-type strain and its mutant derivative were re-sequenced to confirm the correct deletion and also to identify secondary mutations that may have occurred during the genetic engineering of the mutant.
