Description: This study aims to elucidate the transcriptomic response of banana to the overexpression of native Musa-miR397. The data is expected to provide: 1) A broad overview of the transcripts differentially expressed in the transgenic plants overexpressing Musa-miR397 (lines Musa-miR397Ox-2 and Musa-miR397Ox-3), relative to wild-type (untransformed) banana. This would include genes under direct/indirect control of Musa-miR397. 2) Possible mechanistic insight into the molecular basis for theenhanced vegetative growth phenotype displayed by transgenic lines compared with wild type banana, when grown in hydroponic conditions.
