Description: The purpose of this study was to sequence and assemble the mitogenome of Castanospermum australe and to compare it to other Papilionoideae mitogenomes to help clarify the diversification of mitogenomes in this subfamily. Given the challenges in assembling mitogenomes, it is important to verify alternative conformations mediated by repeats.
