Description: Comparative analysis of gene expression in tomato roots during mild and severe potato spindle tuber viroid infection.Overall design: Mild (PSTVd-M) and severe (PSTVd-S23) strains were used to inoculate Solanum lycopersicum cv Rutgers plants. Root samples were collected at 17 days post inoculation (dpi), i.e. at early stage of symptoms. Three independent biological replicates of PSTVd-M, PSTVd-S23 and pUC9 were analised. Totally 18 samples of RNA were analysed.Please note that the *Gene_counts* file was updated on Sep 22, 2021.
