Description: Arthrospira platensis PCC9108 belongs to the group of cyanobacteria that are used for their nutritional and nutritional and nutraceutical properties, as well as a source of value-added compounds. In spite of the presence of great metabolic versatility, the organism is so far elusive to genetic manipulation. The objective of this study is the analysis of the mechanisms of protection against the exogenous DNA of this cyanobacterium to address this challenge.
