Description: The scientific objective of our work is to understand the regulatory processes controlling post-embryonic transitions in amphibians. We compare biological responses to thyroid hormone of embryonic tissues in two cases : 1) the well known post-embryonic transition in Xenopus (a.k.a. metamorphosis) and 2) mexican Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) paedomorphs, which (usually) does not metamorphose.
