Description: The genus Pantoea is an ubiquitous bacterial group, isolated from diverse environments as water, soil, plants, animals, insects, and humans. Nowadays, are recognized around twenty four species of Pantoea that are phenotypically similar. In this work we report the genome sequence of Pantoea vagans isolated from corpses of the sugarcane aphis (Melanaphis sacchari Zehntner).
