However, with the surge of antibiotic-resistance, this microorganism has become an important nosocomial pathogen. in this study, Enterococcus faecium genome, isolate from urinary tract infection, was sequenced. This is a vancomycin resistant Enterococcus (VRE) and strongly biofilm-forming.
