This organism is also of interest as a probiotic to maintain and regulate the human intestinal microflora.Lactobacillus plantarum P8. This strain is isolated from traditional dairy products of minority nationalities in China, and has some good probiotic properties such as high resistance to acidic pH, bile salt and antibacterial activity.
