Description: Here we present the first draft genome of M. arginini from Nigeria and from cell culture supplemented with Streptomycin and Penicillin. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the first description of any M. arginini genome from Nigeria and possibly Africa and therefore documents a reference strain. It is also the first description of ICE in M. arginini. The data provided by this study will further contribute to our understanding of M. arginini biology and consequently its control.
