Project name: uncultured fungus
Description: This submission relates to two separate studies of the fungal endosymbionts associated with Pinus albicaulis. The intent of one study, titled "Whitebark pine foliar fungal endophyte communities in the southern Cascade Range, USA: host mycobiomes and white pine blister rust," is to relate the fungal endosymbionts found in Pinus albicaulis fascicles to the white pine blister rust pathosystem. The intent of another study related to this sequence submission is to determine the influence of targeted fungal inoculation of Pinus albicaulis seedlings on their fungal endophyte communities at a later growth stage.
