Project name: Clitarchus hookeri

Description: Clitarchus hookeri genome was sequenced, assembled and analysed. We also performed an analysis of the RNA-Seq data sequenced from female reproductive tract and the male testis for identifying genes that are essential to gamete production and maturation. The identified candidate genes predominantly expressed in the gonad of one sex and the genes involved in the juvenile hormone pathway provide candidates for the further study of stick insect reproductive flexibility.
