Description: An analysis of three algal communities derived from a separate inocula sourced from surface water and/or wastewater treatment plant clarifiers in each of three distinct geographic locations in the continental United States. Communities were cultivated under daytime N-limitation in photobioreactors with 8-day solids residence time for 82 days during which time 10 samples from each reactor were collected for DNA analysis. DNA was amplified using primers for V4 and V8-V9 regions of the 18S rRNA gene and sequenced using Illumina MiSeq v2 Chemistry.
