Description: Ensifer strain AC50a is a nitrogen-fixing Rhizobium isolated from root nodules of Sesbania sesban, a tree legume growing in Ethiopia. In addition to fixing its nitrogen fixing capacity, this strain reduces a greenhouse gas, N2O to N2. The genome was sequenced to understand in details, its nitrogen fixing capacity and denitrification potentials at the molecular level, so as to use it as inocula targeting both agricultural productivity and mitigation of N2O emission
