Description: Soybean(Glycine max), the third most cultivated crop, provides an important source of protein and oil to humans and animals worldwide. As a typical dicotyledon, soybean root architecture is taproot system. Soybean root growth and response to environmental cues are important factor for maintaining crop yields. As a common and efficient method, application of plant growth regulators can manipulate plant growth and yield. Uniconazole, a plant growth retardant, has been extensively applied in plants to increase tolerance and improve quality. In this study, we studied the effect of uniconazole treatment on root of Glycine max by genome-wide transcriptome. This research elucidated the complex mechanism of uniconazole treatment.
