Project name: Influenza A virus strain:A/WSN/33

Description: The study goal is to characterize an essential interaction between influenza A virus polymerase and the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the cellular RNA polymerase. To this end, recombinant viruses with a mutation in the CTD-binding domain of the viral polymerase were produced by reverse genetics. Next generation sequencing of the 8 viral genomic segments was performed. It revealed the strong genomic instability of the mutant viruses.
