Project name: Gasterosteus aculeatus
Description: To better understand the selective pressure acting on copy number variants under divergent selection in marine and freshwater habitats we performed further genome sequencing on two threespine stickleback fish. One individual is from a marine population at the mouth of the Little Campbell River in British Columbia and the other individual is from a freshwater population in Fishtrap Creek in northern Washington. We used this genome sequencing data to calculate the level of heterozygosity flanking the copy number variants, relative to other regions of the genome.
