Description: Tapetum is the innermost wall layer of the male reproductive organ anther. Arabidopsis BECLIN1 gene expressed at high-level, stringent to post-meiotic anther tapetum in Nicotiana tabacum cv. Petit Havana. The transcriptome profiling using Illumina Hiseq of BECLIN1-transgenic and control anther at postmeiotic developmental stage was performed to analyze BECLIN1-mediated changes in the anther tapetum development.
