Project name: Massilia sp. NR 4-1 isolate:Bija 4-1 | cultivar:Myeong Nuri
Description: Massilia sp. NR 4-1 was isolated from rhizosphere of Torreya nucifera in national heritage Bijarim forest, volcanic Jeju island Korea, which is at least 500 years old largest nutmeg tree forest in the world. Members of the genus Massilia are one of a gram negative beta-porteobacterium.A total of 5285 coding DNA sequences (CDSs) were predicted including a complete violacein biosynthesis pathway, vioABCDE. This is the second report on the production of violacein by a Massilia species.( Massilia sp. BS-1 was first).
