Project name: Leucoraja erinacea

Description: The goal of this project was to better understand how the developmental loss of anterior portions of the fins of primitive fish contributed to the evolution of tetrapod limbs. Therefore, the purpose of this transcriptomic work was to identify genes and genetic modules that were differentially activated in the anterior and posterior pectoral fin during development of the skate, Leucoraja erinacea.
