Description: De novo whole genome sequence of a putative hydrocarbon assimilating bacterial isolate from India. Rhodococcus pyridinivorans KG-16 was collected as part of a pilot study undertaken by CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) to study the bacterial diversity in the potential oil fields in Krishna-Godaveri basin,Andhara Pradesh, India. The de novo whole genome sequencing was carried out at CSIR-CCMB on the Roche 454 NGS platform.
