Description: Several lactic acid bacteria, including Lactobacillus reuteri, are associated with reduction of Type 1 Diabetes symptoms in rodent studies. However, BioBreeding diabetes prone (BB-DP) rats treated with L. reuteri strain TD1 are reported to exhibit similar, if not greater, incidence of Type 1 Diabetes when compared to untreated rats.
