Description: Porphyromonas gingivalis is an important pathogen of periodontal disease. Three widely studied type strains and one clinical strain of P. gingivalis have been genome-sequenced during the past decade. To analyze the pan-gemome of P. gingivalis, we sequenced several genomes of clinical strains of this species.
