Project name: Nasonia giraulti
Description: The Nasonia giraulti genome was sequenced by the Human Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine using a whole genome shotgun (WGS) approach. The genome was sequenced at one-fold coverage using Sanger sequencing, and 12-fold coverage using Illumina short-read sequencing (45-bp reads). The reads were assembled by aligning to the highly related genome of Nasonia vitripennis (AAZX00000000) using the Mosaik assembler, and a consensus sequence was determined, changing any bases below a threshold level of sequence quality to N in the consensus. The assembly covers 62.0% of the N. giraulti genome, and 84.7% of the predicted coding regions.
