Project name: Bacillus cereus 03BB108
Description: Bacillus cereus 03BB108. Bacillus cereus 03BB108 was isolated from the same dust as the pneumonia-causing strain B. cereus 03BB102. Strain 03BB108 was positive by PCR for some of the genes present on the B. anthracis plasmids pXO1 and PXO2. This strain is also the same MLST type as B. cereus G9241 which caused an anthrax-like disease. Bacillus cereus 03BB108 is being sequenced for comparative analysis with other Bacillus cereus strains.
