Project name: Helianthus argophyllus strain:wild, invasive
Description: Study goals and relevance: We collected tissue from young leaves of mature (budding or flowering) adult plants and sequenced transcriptomes for one individual from each of 28 families, 22 collected in the wild and 6 maintained by the USDA (for three of these we used whole above-ground seedling tissue). We used this sequence data to understand adaptation and divergence among population in this species, which vary greatly in flowering phenology and other phenotypes. THis analysis may broaden our understanding of the genomics of local adaptation and divergence.
Data type: transcriptome
Sample scope: Multiisolate
