Description: Desiccation tolerance is an important property of orthodox seeds for conservation and agriculture and understanding the mechanisms linked to it is of great interest. C. australe seeds are desiccation sensitive (recalcitrant) and provide a good model for molecular comparison with orthodox seeds of M. truncatula belonging to Fabaceae family too. Transcriptome sequencing of C. australe seeds is the first step allowing comparison with M. truncatula transcriptomic data
