Project name: Cepaea nemoralis
Description: Here we use RAD-Seq to identify genetic markers linked to the supergene that controls shell colour and banding variation in Cepaea nemoralis. The parents and 24 offspring from a cross segregating for the shell colour (yellow or pink) and shell banding (presence or absence) loci of the supergene were sequenced. The pink-unbanded father was collected from the Wye Valley, UK and the yellow-banded mother was an F1 from parents collected in the Marlborough Downs, UK and Slieve Carron, Ireland.
