Project name: Bacillus cereus G9842
Description: Bacillus cereus G9842. This strain was isolated from stool samples from an outbreak that involved three individuals in Nebraska (1996). The isolate was characterized by MLST typing using the MLSTDB scheme and is sequence type 56. Interestingly, sequence type 56 is quite unrelated to the major clade of pathogenic B. cereus isolates and will provide a great insight into its pathogenic potential through comparative analysis.Sequence was obtained from three libraries - a fosmid library (33-39 kb; 20,191 reads), a medium insert library (10-12 kb; 24,338 reads), and a small insert library (3-5 kb; 23,921 reads).
