Description: Pestalotiopsis sp. NCi6 is a fungal strain, isolated in mangrove, capable of lignocellulolysis in both saline and non saline conditions. Sequencing and assembly of its transcriptome will allow to study the mechanisms used by this fungus to cope with the high concentration of salt, and how it affects lignocellulolysis. Fungus isolated from a mangrove tree (Rhizophora stylosa), samples taken on the trunk, below the maximum tide level.
